“We need an average of 400 donors per month, 100 donors per week, and we need partners to help provide the needed supply. It’s like  a minimum of  two to three agencies per week  that will conduct blood donation activities,” she explained.

Additionally, they stated that there are months when the supply is sufficient, such as June and July which are the “Blood Donors Month”. It results in a high and consistent number of blood donors. While, the months of November to January, are lean months as few come for blood donation because of parties, breaks, and vacations. With this, that’s why the bloodletting activity was scheduled this January. They hope to conduct regular blood donation activities and obtain the necessary resources to save lives.

“We are just so fortunate that there is accessible blood. It would be frightening if there was no supply, and that is what we want to resolve, and that is why we have this kind of thing,” Kelly Etiong from the HR Department said while donating blood.

23 individuals combined from Scheirman Construction as well as from MnLeistung took part in the event. Organizers collected a total of 11,500cc as donated by personnel of the said organizations.
